Tai-Chi Chuan is a Chinese art with a history dating back thousands of years. The movements are graceful, the tempos slow, and the benefits are great. It is the only form of exercise in which a person should not use outward strength or force in their movements. Improvement depends not on outer strength, but inner awareness. Behind every Tai-Chi movement is the philosophy of Yin and Yang.

Single Whip; Raise Hands and White Crane –

Solo Form and Application

Lead by Olesya Amacker and Vlasta Pechova.
I was excited to be joined by Vlasta Pechova – the head teacher from Prague Tai Chi School (https://www.taijipodlupou.cz) to lead this seminar.
At the seminar we looked closely at the Single Whip Form and three possible applications of Single Whip. We worked on Raise Hands – one of the exits from Single Whip in the Solo form and explored the form and application of White Crane.
Big thanks to Tom Maxon for organizing the Seminar and to the people who came and shared the practice!
